Beautiful and evocative, Nanette. I particularly love the way you bring us below the surface to the world of the dogfish, ribbon grass and dense mud. . . the otherworldy, disorienting moments when you join that underwater world and how you are miraculously brought up again to that clear sky. A beatiful way to write the experience of going under and away and then surfacing again. Like a kind of baptism into life itself.
